Mount Pleasant is a progressive, liveable, walkable neighbourhood in northwest Brampton. It was planned and designed so that residents can easily access the GO station, ZUM bus rapid transit, and local shops, schools, library, civic square, and recreation centre. This transit-oriented community features an innovative urban structure with a series of mixed-use nodes along a strong transit spine, a variety of transit supportive built forms and the Mount Pleasant Village as its centre. The Mount Pleasant Community features extensive environmental restoration, in addition to doubling of the existing natural features, the associated improvements to East Huttonville Creek form one of the largest habitat creation projects in Ontario for the Endangered Redside Dace. The adjacent open space system and pathways connect people to parks, schools, commercial areas, transit and nearby neighbourhoods.
